Clara’s dream unfolds as Christmas Eve arrives. Uncle Drosselmeyer gives Fritz some toy soldiers and Clara a wooden Nutcracker. When Clara kisses the Nutcracker goodnight, little does she know that she has released her prince from his spell! As Clara dreams something amazing is happening! Rat King and his rowdy band of mice arrive to battle the Nutcracker Prince and his loyal Toy Soldiers. Everyone gets into the act when the audience helps Clara’s Dolls and the Toy Soldiers trick the Rat King! At last the Nutcracker Prince defeats the Rat King freeing the house from his tyranny.

This show will have two separate parts of the cast. Older students (grades 5 and up) will play the largest speaking roles. Smaller roles will be designated to the younger or less experienced actors (Kindergarten and up.) An informal audition will be held on the first day of class to designate these parts to everyone who registers to be part of the show. NO AUDITION PACKET will be available ahead of time.
